Holistic Therapy in Oxfordshire
Holistic therapy looks at the whole person — not just one symptom or complaint. At ZEST Therapeutic Reflexology in North Abingdon, I work with a range of therapies that address your body, mind, and emotional health together. No two sessions are the same because no two people are.

What Is Holistic Therapy?
“Holistic” comes from the Greek word “holos”, meaning whole. In practice, that means I don’t treat your headache or your back pain in isolation. Your physical health, emotional state, sleep, diet, stress levels — they’re all tangled up together.
Holistic therapies work with that reality. Instead of chasing individual symptoms, I look at what’s going on underneath. Sometimes that means calming an overworked nervous system. Sometimes it’s releasing tension you didn’t know you were carrying. Often it’s both. You can read more about different types of reflexology and how they fit into a holistic approach.
Holistic Treatments at ZEST
I offer several therapies, and I’ll often combine them depending on what your body needs that day:
- Foot Reflexology — Precise pressure on reflex points across the feet, working to rebalance the body’s systems from the ground up
- Facial Reflexology — Gentle techniques across the face and scalp that ease headaches, jaw tension, and sinus congestion. Deeply calming, too — I’ve had clients fall asleep mid-session
- Complete Reflexology — A 90-minute session combining foot, hand, and facial reflexology for a thorough full-body treatment
- Hot Stone Reflexology — Heated basalt stones paired with reflexology to loosen tight muscles and improve circulation through the feet and lower legs
- Fire Cupping — Traditional cupping that draws blood flow to stiff or sore areas, helping to relieve muscle tension and shift congestion
- Butterfly Touch Massage — A feather-light body massage. Don’t let the gentleness fool you — it’s remarkably effective at releasing stored emotional tension
- Breathwork — Guided breathing techniques for stress, anxiety, and clearer thinking. I’ve written about the connection between reflexology, anxiety, and sleep if you’d like to learn more
A Holistic Approach to Your Health
Every treatment starts with a proper conversation. I’ll ask about your health history, what’s been going on recently, how you’re sleeping, what hurts. This isn’t a tick-box exercise — it genuinely shapes what I do in your session and which combination of therapies I’ll recommend.
Stress, hormonal shifts, poor sleep, pregnancy aches, persistent pain. I see clients for all of these, and the holistic approach gives me more tools to work with than reflexology alone. Most people notice a difference after their first session. Real, tangible change tends to build over a course of treatments.
